This lovely Fenton Art Glass sleigh in the festive "Poinsettia Glow" pattern, was sold during the winter of 1996-1997. The glass sits on a sturdy, solid brass base and is hand-painted and signed on the bottom by S. Allman (see photo). There is a clear Fenton imprint stamp on bottom, plus label (see photo). This is a beautiful piece, in mint condition, and the brass runners are pristine. When paired together, the sleigh measures 7 1/2" long, 5" high, and 4 1/2" inches wide (at the widest part of the glass). It would look very attractive filled with peppermints or other holiday candy, a small floral arrangement, or shiny ornaments. Perhaps you have a small Santa who could sit in here! This vintage piece is perfect for collectors of Christmas and holiday decor or with other Fenton items.I personally bought this beauty as a Christmas gift for my mother. It graced her table for only 2 days then was put away with all the holiday decorations. She passed away a few months later and it was never unwrapped again, until now. * I did a little research, and the artist, "S. Allman", is Stacy L. Allman who worked for Fenton from Jan 1993 until July 1994. So, she had to have painted it during that time even though this was the design released by Fenton for the winter of 1996-1997. This is from 2007. The Fenton # is 1714 I6. It measures approx. 3 1/4" by 3 1/4". It has a large hand painted Poinsettia. The artists signature is partially covered up by the Fenton label so i can't tell who it is. Box and ornament are in excellent condition.
