A very rare Fenton carnival glass butterfly ornament, probably dating to the nineteen teens to early twenties, in cobalt blue. This piece is in excellent condition. It measures approximately 3 inches across the wings; it has what looks like original putty residue in the pontil snap; there is some dullness on the underside, probably from handling in the factory; and there is a small abrasion (~ 3/16") on the front of the left wing which may also be from the factory as there is no chipping around the area.
